Costumes & What to Wear
We’re trying something new this year — thanks to your feedback!
Based on the results of our recent parent survey, we’re shifting away from traditional catalogue-ordered costumes purchased through the studio. Instead, each class will be given a “look” or style concept that reflects their piece and the L.O.V.E. theme.
Here’s how it will work:
Each class will receive a detailed “look guide” with colors, styles, and inspiration.
Performers will create their outfit using items from their own closet or affordable basics they already own or can be easily sourced.
In some cases, a class may be asked to purchase one small accessory or costume piece (under $35) from Amazon or a similar retailer to complete the look.
These looks will still be cohesive, performance-ready, and in line with Project Performer’s professional standards — just more sustainable and flexible for families.
Costume Info “Lookbooks” Released: March 25th, 2026
This approach allows for more creativity, comfort, and savings, while still maintaining a polished, professional, and cohesive stage look. It also opens the door for our multi-class students to perform in more — if not all — of their routines without the financial burden of multiple catalogue costumes.
FAQ’s
-
It’s very possible, especially for students enrolled in multiple classes. Each class performs in one of the two Broadway Revue shows, and some students may appear in both depending on their class schedule.
We’ll share the official show schedule and class lineups before registration closes so you’ll know exactly which show(s) your performer is in. -
For safety and show flow reasons, all performers must stay for the entire show. This ensures smooth backstage transitions, final bows, and the full company curtain call.
-
If it’s the show your child is performing in, they’ll be backstage for the duration and won’t be able to sit in the audience. However, if there’s a second show they are not performing in, you’re absolutely welcome to purchase a ticket so they can watch and cheer on their peers!
-
If your child is performing in both shows, they’ll need to stay at the theater between performances. Our team will provide supervision, snacks, and downtime activities so students can rest and recharge safely. This helps ensure everyone is accounted for and ready for the second show on time.
-
Unfortunately, no. Dress rehearsal is mandatory and non-negotiable for all performers. It’s an essential part of ensuring every student knows their spacing, lighting, and cues — all of which are critical for safety and a smooth show. If a performer misses dress rehearsal, they will not be able to participate in the final performance.
-
No, participation in Picture Day is not required — but it’s one of the fun perks of being part of the Broadway Revue! Professional photos are available exclusively to Revue participants.
There’s no sitting fee. Families can choose which photos they’d like to purchase afterward. It’s a great way to capture professional, keepsake-quality memories from this special event.
