How to Audition
What you will need:
One minute song :
Prepare and memorize a one-minute version of a song from a published musical (in the style of the show) with MP3 accompaniment
Optional Monologue:
If you have a 1 minute monologue, feel free to show us this! This show has a lot of strong acting roles!
Completed audition sign-up form:
Complete and submit the audition form by July 19th at 11:59pm. *NEW* There will be a non-refundable $10 audition fee with each performer submission. Each performer will receive written feedback from an industry coach following their audition.
Project Performer Productions 501(c)(3) offers scholarship opportunities for aspiring, performers ages 8-18 with financial need. If you feel like you may qualify, please email us using the button below. We will send you a scholarship form and our application will be reviewed by our board. Thank you!
Meet the Creative Team
Wilfred Paloma, Director
Wilfred is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist & is the Director of Education & Community Engagement at Diversionary Theatre. He is an Actor’s Equity member with a M.F.A. in Musical Theatre, a M.A. in Theatre Arts, and a B.A. in Theatre Performance: Acting and Musical Theatre. Wilfred is also a graduate of the Meisner and Chekhov Integrated Acting Studio (MCIT). Wilfred is interdisciplinary Postdoctoral faculty at the University of San Diego in the departments of Theatre and Music.
For over the last 14 years, Wilfred has been a teaching artist working in residency in partnership with La Jolla Playhouse, Arts Education Connection, Imagine Brave Spaces, Coronado Junior Arts League, Young Actors Theater, San Diego Junior Theatre, and Blindspot Collective. Wilfred is also a lecturer at San Diego State University and an adjunct professor at San Diego City College.
Wilfred is a director and choreographer specializing in the development of new works, and has directed over 35 productions. His favorite work fuses social activism and community engagement to his wide array of theatre and dance performance experience. His artistic practice spans Opera, Dance Theatre, Musical Theatre, dramatic works to Theatre for Social Change.
