Jazz & Technique
Wednesday’s 3:30-7:15pm
With nearly three decades of teaching experience, Amari Russell is passionate about using dance not only to develop strong technical skills, but also to instill lifelong values of discipline, confidence, and personal growth. She believes in meeting each dancer where they are and strives to build meaningful connections that help students thrive—both in the studio and beyond.
Amari currently teaches jazz, lyrical, contemporary, turns & leaps, and strength & flexibility, drawing from a versatile foundation in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, and tap. Her professional performance career includes appearances with Walt Disney World at Pleasure Island and Animal Kingdom, as well as internationally in Mystic Rhythms at Tokyo DisneySea. She also worked under agency representation in Florida, performing in a variety of dance and entertainment projects. After relocating to California, she danced for seven seasons with the California Ballet Company in San Diego.
Dance has shaped Amari’s life in countless ways, and she is deeply committed to passing that inspiration on to the next generation—helping young dancers discover their own voice, strength, and artistry.
